ART CHANGES THE WORLD

Can art change the world?

A few months ago, I started thinking about how to take „art” to the next level, so that it would be more than a nicely painted picture to look at. Since I often address various civilization, economic or political issues in my conception, I wanted to combine painting with a real impact on „today.”

In July 2021, a painting titled „2030” was created, which is part of the „bathroom” series. It was inspired by the Union Square clock in Manhattan counting down to the climate catastrophe, which you can read more about here.

The concept behind the creation of the image was to show a frame from the future in the year 2030. The image shows empty liquid products floating in a slightly filled tub of dirty water. A frame of our own apartments and homes, where by the excess of garbage produced, we have to learn how to live with it, because there is no place to get rid of it anymore. We are forced to bathe with them. Do we want the garbage bin to become our home? I hope no one wants that.

I decided to realistically take art to the next level and reproduce the painting. Reproduce the painting and donate 50% of the proceeds from the sale of the reproduction to fundations supporting taking care of the planet.

By buying reproductions, you are realistically supporting the fight against plastic, waste, pollution and you can take care of the planet!
